Black and White Summer Vol. II
My summer break was too short this year and now the best season of the year is almost over and the season of university exams is ahead. We are already starting to feel summer-nostalgia and as last year, here is a different perspective of summer with some black and white photos. All taken in the island of Paros, Greece.

The Quiet Side
If you remember this post, you'll know that it isn't my first time in Paros. Last summer I experienced the craziness and the nightlife of the island as I was travelling with my friends. Some days ago I went back. But this time I was able to observe the quiet side of Paros: narrow streets, lazy cats, tranquil sunsets and villages covered in white.

The Music And The Mountains
Last week I had the opportunity to spend a few days at a summer camp for young musicians. It was a beautiful experience as I got to meet incredible (and very very talented) new people and study piano. The location was dreamy as the hotel where we were staying was surrounded by mountains and the village nearby was very picturesque. Here's a selection of my favorite pictures.

Sail
So, I sort of abandoned this blog (and photography as well) for the past months because university happened. And no, I'm not a dedicated student, the opposite I would say. But it leaves me with no time for photography and travels and shit. Also, because I live in a dysfunctional country I ended up with almost no summer holidays (no travels, no inspiration).
Anyway, these are the photos I took from the ferryboat going to Salamina (an island less 10 minutes from the port of Perama in Athens). I have always adored ports and ships and when I was a child I was often dreaming about becoming a captain and sailing the seven seas. I can assure you the whole thing still fascinates me a lot. Take a look!

Up In The Air
The view from the plane on this flight just happened to be breathtaking and I had my camera on hand at all times. In the beginning I was enjoying the view of the swiss mountains and near the end I could see Athens covered in the colors of a beautiful sunset (there I go again obsessing over sunsets). In the middle of the flight I might have slept a bit...

Days in Thessaloniki
So, last week I spent some days in Thessaloniki (you can check my other post about the city here) with my gorgeous best friend who lives there now. We had so much fun (as we always do) and got the oportunity to shoot some pictures together after a long time. I'll never get tired of saying that she's my favorite model ever.
Thessaloniki is very picturesque and I love its vibe. So many well dressed people of all ages filling the many cool cafés, restaurants and clubs. You can't get bored while you're there. Also another thing that makes the city magical is the sea. The sea gives a very relaxing vibe to the urban scenery.
Enjoy some of my favorite photos (I am crazy for sunsets I know, but then again, who isn't?). :)

Winter Mood: Thessaloniki
Earlier this year (near Christmas) I took a school trip to the north of Greece, in the beautiful city of Thessaloniki. I had a great time with my friends and I snapped many pictures of the city. When I got home I realised I appear in like 5 or 6 photos of the trip... Hum, so typical. That's the downside of not really letting anybody touch my camera. I prefer being behind the lens rather than in front of it. Hahaha.
Now my best friend is moving to Thessaloniki and I'm seriously considering to visit the city again. ;)

Athens City, Baby
There΄ll always be people who will say that Athens is an ugly city. Well, I don't think it is. I just think that these people are unable to see the true beauty of the city that sometimes is hiding behind details. Other times this beauty is quite peculiar and cannot be perceived by the common eye. But there are those places in Athens that in a breathtaking way show off the city's ancient history. And that's why it's a number one destination for tourists, right?
I've been living here for quite a while actually and now that I may be moving to another city in the next month I'm starting to feel nostalgic. These are my favourite shots of some of Athens' corners that I snapped on many different occasions.

Paros, Je T'Aime
After a difficult year of studying and getting damn stressed about the finals, me and my friends really needed this 5 day getaway. The destination wasn't very original - as something like an 80% of the greek students that finish school go there - but sure as hell it was amazing: Paros. I had been there before when I was a little kid, with my parents and some family friends, but now I experienced the island from a totally different point of view. Amazing beaches by day, swimming and trying to get a tan, awesome clubs by night, dancing and drinking all night and staying up until the sunrise. Here are some of my favorite shots.

When The Sun Goes Down
In the beginnings of August I spent a week in the island of Lesvos, where my dad's family is from. I got to spend some quality time with my cousins, enjoy the amazing sea and good food and relax a bit. I also discovered that my younger cousins share my passion for photography so we had a lot of fun shooting at the beach.
The water in this particular beach is always incredibly cold and, even if during the day it's a relief from the heat, as the sun goes down it feels something more like the Arctic Ocean. Anyway, the colors of the sunset and the sound of the sea in this moment of the day are dreamy and I feel like I really want to go back there as I'm watching these photos.
