2014 was one of those years where everything changes drastically and the time passes so quickly and doesn't give a damn whether you can cope with the changes or not. I like changes though. There was a huge wave of people entering my life. Also a lot of them going out.
I didn't have time to take as many photographs as I would like to. I didn't study as much as I should have. I've been confused a lot of times. And lost. I messed things up a lot of times. But I have loved a lot. And I have been happy this year, like I've never been before. When I look back it is mostly happiness I feel. So, with a stupid smile on my face I share with you some of my favorite photos that I took in 2014. Photos of the people that made this year so special or random corners of Athens or just really random things. I just like them for some reason. I wish I had more. I am also uploading some photos taken from my phone as I weren't able to have my camera with me at all time and some happy moments slipped away.Tuesday, 30 December 2014

London Calling
I wish I had more time to spend in London as it is one of my favorites cities ever. But even a tiny slice of it was enough to make me happy.
Too tired to say anything else. More on my Instagram.
Colchester Town
This weekend I got to spend some days in the beautiful and picturesque city of Colchester as a friend of mine is currently studying there.
This town has something in the air that constantly reminds you of Jane Austen. British clichés and an atmosphere that makes us think we are in another century (maybe 18th or 19th). And all this contrasting with the modern facilities of the university of Essex. Plus, fake snow because it's fun!
This sums it up I guess.

Black and White Summer Vol. II
My summer break was too short this year and now the best season of the year is almost over and the season of university exams is ahead. We are already starting to feel summer-nostalgia and as last year, here is a different perspective of summer with some black and white photos. All taken in the island of Paros, Greece.

The Quiet Side
If you remember this post, you'll know that it isn't my first time in Paros. Last summer I experienced the craziness and the nightlife of the island as I was travelling with my friends. Some days ago I went back. But this time I was able to observe the quiet side of Paros: narrow streets, lazy cats, tranquil sunsets and villages covered in white.

The Music And The Mountains
Last week I had the opportunity to spend a few days at a summer camp for young musicians. It was a beautiful experience as I got to meet incredible (and very very talented) new people and study piano. The location was dreamy as the hotel where we were staying was surrounded by mountains and the village nearby was very picturesque. Here's a selection of my favorite pictures.

Sail
So, I sort of abandoned this blog (and photography as well) for the past months because university happened. And no, I'm not a dedicated student, the opposite I would say. But it leaves me with no time for photography and travels and shit. Also, because I live in a dysfunctional country I ended up with almost no summer holidays (no travels, no inspiration).
Anyway, these are the photos I took from the ferryboat going to Salamina (an island less 10 minutes from the port of Perama in Athens). I have always adored ports and ships and when I was a child I was often dreaming about becoming a captain and sailing the seven seas. I can assure you the whole thing still fascinates me a lot. Take a look!

Throwback Vol II: Italia
In the summer of 2012 I took a trip to the north of Italy with my parents. We rented a car and went through some famous cities of Tuscany, Lombardy and Piedmont such as Bologna, Pisa, Turin etc etc... The colors of an italian summer are fantastic and the gelato delicious so it was a very enjoyable trip. One of my favorite things about Italy is that you can walk in a very narrow street in the middle of a city and suddenly a huuge cathedral or palace or whatever can appear. I find this breathtaking. I was also in a museum kind of mood and as I was underage, most of them were free (lucky me). So I also learnt many interesting things about history and art on this trip.
I had forgotten about those pictures - this is something I often do: I take hundreds of pictures, I look at them, I like some, but then I completely forget to show them to anyone. I think I posted one or two of those on facebook and others on my tumblr blog.
Here is my Throwback Vol I.

Up In The Air Again
Sometimes I think that nobody cares about pictures taken from a plane but then the sky is so photogenic and I just can't hold myself.
If you like those, you can also check this post. :)

Despedida
So, I think I've already said how much I love Madrid in this post. But this time my visit there was even more special for two reasons: I spent New Years Eve with my friend Sofia and her lovely family and friends and I got to see a friend I haven't seen in a very very long time. It was a trip full of happy reunions and I started this year with a very optimistic vibe.
I'm not gonna say again how much I adore this city and blabla but seriously one of the best things someone can do in their lives is go to Madrid and walk around in the city centre (with or without company).
Here's a bunch of pictures I really like.
Despedida is a really good song by the way.
