Up In The Air

The view from the plane on this flight just happened to be breathtaking and I had my camera on hand at all times. In the beginning I was enjoying the view of the swiss mountains and near the end I could see Athens covered in the colors of a beautiful sunset (there I go again obsessing over sunsets). In the middle of the flight I might have slept a bit...

Geneva by Night

And the sun is setting and the night falls in Geneva. But no darkness. Lots of light. Obviously very pretty Christmas lights.  Also big bright signs on top of buildings such as "Rolex" and "Cartier". And I was like "Oh I'm a bit lost here but look there's an enormous "Rolex" sign over there so I know where I can buy a new watch." And most of it reflecting in the lake and making everything even prettier. I even saw some random phrases on top of buildings. I really loved this city, seriously.
Plus, a photo of a very impressive exhibition at CERN.

Sunny Geneva

Very chic. Very european. Very expensive. I just loved Geneva. Even though it was very cold. But it was sunny. Sunny works for me. I particularly liked: the narrow streets of the old town, the infinity of the lake, the frost on the grass (that looks like snow but isn't), the fact that public transport is free for tourists (so hop on a bus when you get tired of walking or too cold to function), the fact that you see a designer's shop on every corner (I enjoyed staring at them like a homeless girl daydreaming about wearing 2000 CHF dresses). It was a lovely weekend anyway so now I'm gonna eat all the swiss chocolate I brough home with me. Bye. (There's more from Geneva coming soon)

Days in Thessaloniki

So, last week I spent some days in Thessaloniki (you can check my other post about the city here) with my gorgeous best friend who lives there now. We had so much fun (as we always do) and got the oportunity to shoot some pictures together after a long time. I'll never get tired of saying that she's my favorite model ever.
Thessaloniki is very picturesque and I love its vibe. So many well dressed people of all ages filling the many cool cafés, restaurants and clubs. You can't get bored while you're there. Also another thing that makes the city magical is the sea. The sea gives a very relaxing vibe to the urban scenery.
Enjoy some of my favorite photos (I am crazy for sunsets I know, but then again, who isn't?). :)

Throwback Vol I: White

Two years ago: me, my best friend and a white dress. When I say my favorite models are my friends, I mean it! We always have so much fun shooting together. :D

Last Year In Madrid

I've always loved spending time in Madrid. I particularly enjoy the city's architecture and vibe. I also get a warm feeling everytime I visit Madrid as I have spent many summers there with my parents as a child so it fills me with good memories. Another reason I love it there is because I get to spend time with my lovely photogenic friend Sofia. :D
So, these are my favorite photos of the city, taken last year.
This time I took long walks alone in the city and I found myself taking pictures of random people in the streets. Photographers never get bored! Hahaha Especially in a city like Madrid.

Winter Mood: Thessaloniki

Earlier this year (near Christmas) I took a school trip to the north of Greece, in the beautiful city of Thessaloniki. I had a great time with my friends and I snapped many pictures of the city. When I got home I realised I appear in like 5 or 6 photos of the trip... Hum, so typical. That's the downside of not really letting anybody touch my camera. I prefer being behind the lens rather than in front of it. Hahaha.
Now my best friend is moving to Thessaloniki and I'm seriously considering to visit the city again. ;)

Athens City, Baby

There΄ll always be people who will say that Athens is an ugly city. Well, I don't think it is. I just think that these people are unable to see the true beauty of the city that sometimes is hiding behind details. Other times this beauty is quite peculiar and cannot be perceived by the common eye. But there are those places in Athens that in a breathtaking way show off the city's ancient history. And that's why it's a number one destination for tourists, right?
I've been living here for quite a while actually and now that I may be moving to another city in the next month I'm starting to feel nostalgic. These are my favourite shots of some of Athens' corners that I snapped on many different occasions.

Αγαπάτε την Αθήνα, ρεεε..

Summer Leftovers

Today is the first cloudy day of the Fall in Athens. I know it won't last long as the sun shines almost every day of the year in this city but it does make me miss the careless days of summer near the sea and the beautiful sunsets.
Summer may be officially over but we are definitely not over it.

Black and White Summer

Summer can be seen from a completely different -more melancholic- perspective through black and white photographs. And as it is over now, looking back, we do get a bit melancholic about it.
The photos were taken in Petra and Molyvos, in the island of Lesvos.

Paros, Je T'Aime

After a difficult year of studying and getting damn stressed about the finals, me and my friends really needed this 5 day getaway. The destination wasn't very original - as something like an 80% of the greek students that finish school go there - but sure as hell it was amazing: Paros. I had been there before when I was a little kid, with my parents and some family friends, but now I experienced the island from a totally different point of view. Amazing beaches by day, swimming and trying to get a tan, awesome clubs by night, dancing and drinking all night and staying up until the sunrise. Here are some of my favorite shots.

When The Sun Goes Down

In the beginnings of August I spent a week in the island of Lesvos, where my dad's family is from. I got to spend some quality time with my cousins, enjoy the amazing sea and good food and relax a bit. I also discovered that my younger cousins share my passion for photography so we had a lot of fun shooting at the beach.
The water in this particular beach is always incredibly cold and, even if during the day it's a relief from the heat, as the sun goes down it feels something more like the Arctic Ocean. Anyway, the colors of the sunset and the sound of the sea in this moment of the day are dreamy and I feel like I really want to go back there as I'm watching these photos.
